Ramadan, mês sagrado dos muçulmanos, começa no início da noite do dia 5

Em Foz, são mais de 15 mil participantes

Apesar de Foz do Iguaçu estar a mais de 11 mil quilômetros do continente asiático, berço da religião muçulmana, o Ramadan é muito celebrado na cidade.  Do início da noite de 5 de maio até 4 de junho, em Foz, mais de 15 mil muçulmanos mudaram sua rotina em virtude do mês sagrado.

Em todo o Brasil são pelo menos 35 mil muçulmanos. No mundo, mais de 1 bilhão.

Segundo a tradição, durante o mês do Ramadan é preciso jejuar desde o nascer até o pôr do sol. Ou seja, ficar, durante 30 dias, principalmente sem comer e beber do nascer ao pôr do sol.

O Ramadã  termina com o Eid Al-Fitr (“dia das recompensas”).  Muçulmanos se reúnem nas mesquitas e cumprem a Oração e agradecem as bençãos e a misericórdia de Deus

A Sobre Rodas entrevistou duas mulheres árabes e muçulmanas, para conhecer um pouco mais deste mês sagrado: Maysa Ibrahim e Laila Ismail.

Segundo Maysa, no Ramadan homens e mulheres se recolhem para se espiritualizar, não comem nem bebem nada e não tem relações sexuais durante o dia. O propósito é rezar e ficar longe de ações e pensamentos maus.

“Mas não é nada fácil. Durante o dia a gente sente sede e fome. Mas dá uma sensação boa. Sabemos que estamos praticando o Ramadan”, contou.

A rotina é semelhante, principalmente, para os muçulmanos que vivem no Brasil.  Os que trabalham continuam trabalhando.  As mulheres geralmente ficam em casa se espiritualizando o lendo o livro sagrado, o Alcorão. E preparando o jantar.

Depois que o sol se põe, homens e mulheres podem rezar, se hidratar e comer para aguentar o dia seguinte.

O jejum se intensifica nos últimos 10 dias, quando ocorre a Noite do Decreto. Nesses dias, o objetivo é que os muçulmanos passem a noite rezando.

Benefícios

Laila explica que os benefícios são para a saúde, a mente e o espírito. “O pós é gratificante, como um dever cumprido, uma lavagem da alma, uma limpeza do corpo e da mente.  Só quem faz sabe”.
